Children and Young People

Junior Church (4-8 years old)

Junior Church is for children over the age of 4. Once they have reached 8 or 9 years of age, they would generally move on to C4Yourself.

Junior Church is currently suspended. Check the website, notice sheet, or The Spire for updates. The children pursue a number of activities, based on the bible readings of the day, designed to help them understand the ideas being expressed. The teaching programs and ideas for the various activities are taken largely from the Roots publications which are designed with this in mind.

Two special workshops are held each year; one at Christmas and one at Easter where the children and their friends can participate in many different craft activities and enjoy a day of fun and companionship.

C4Yourself (8-11 years old)

C4Yourself is a group for young people over the age of eight, interested in exploring the Christian faith and how it relates to THEIR lives. It is a very relaxed informal group that meets two weeks before each Family Service, in the Parish Room at 10.00am, and also takes an active part in the Family Service on the First Sunday of every month.

C4Yourselfers have the opportunity to join in Diocesan events and meet other young people, and we have occasional fund raising events relating to social issues and the environment that we live in.
